Lack of appropriate housing pushes disabled into poverty

A report by the nonprofit Wellesley Institute indicates that disabled people face higher housing expenses than the non-disabled -- one reason the disabled struggle economically. Wendy Porch, executive director of the Centre for Independent Living Toronto (a member organization of AHN), welcomed the report.
